Artist's Description
As the tide receeded some of the sea stars were then left exposed. This one was all most half in half out of the water. With the dark conditions I used an ISO of 1600 and a shutter speed of 1/800sec. The result was a reaction that made the sea star look as if it had neon dots on its body. This photo was taken in The Great Bear Rainforest in Canada.
About Patrick Nowotny
I have traveled to Alaska, Greece, Africa, Costa Rica, Canada, Chile, Brazil, Italy and Australia. Living in the US I spend a lot of time in Colorado and from there to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks. Along the way I look for other wildlife refuges or reserves to visit and see what these places have to offer. I have created a new collection - Blue Moose Restaurant - for those who have seen my work there in Breckenridge, CO. Enjoy and any feedback would be welcomed.
